Health Economics Job Market Analysis: June 2026

Pro Members of EuropeanHealthEconomics.com had access to 477 jobs posted during June 2026. The split across continents was Europa 171 roles, Nordamerika 234 roles, Asien 74 roles, and Other 25 roles.

Top Countries in Europe

Tyskland led the European market with 35 postings, followed by the Storbritannien at 30 and Schweiz at 28. Spanien and Irland each recorded 14 positions. The remaining 83 jobs were distributed across other European countries.

Companies Recruiting Health Economists

109 companies posted roles during the month. The recruitment came predominantly from pharma companies, with consulting and biotech firms making up the second and third largest employer types. Johnson & Johnson, Novo Nordisk, and Regeneron were the three most active recruiters.

Role Seniority

Chef level positions accounted for 76% of total jobs. Direktör roles made up 44%, while Konsult positions represented 13%. Analytiker roles were 4% of the market and Internship opportunities were 7%.

Specialisms in Demand

Market Access dominated the month at 75% of total jobs. Modellering appeared in 63% of postings, and Value & Access in 63%. HEOR was required for 50% of roles. Verklighetsbaserade evidens featured in 43%, HTA in 42%, Value Dossiers in 40%, and Global hÀlsa in 35%.

Education Requirements

Among roles that specified education level, Master’s qualifications were mentioned in 64% of cases, whilst PhD qualifications featured in 36%.
