A new exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join the All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre (AWTTC). We are seeking a Senior Health Economist to contribute to the production of evidence reviews and advice for AWTTC and the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group. This is an applied health economics role which will contribute to shaping advice for the NHS in Wales; helping to ensure timely, equitable access to medicines and optimised prescribing, to improve Welsh population health.
You will have a postgraduate degree in health economics (or related discipline with a strong statistics/modelling component), a sound understanding of economics concepts, and practical, applied health economic evaluation experience. This is a full-time (37.5 hour/week) permanent position, offering office-based or agile working.
Duties will include: producing rigorous reviews of health economic evidence; developing de-novo health economic models; and leading research activity and projects. The role requires: strong quantitative and analytical skills; effective communication and influencing skills; and the ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines.
