Health Economics Associate Consultant

Northamptonshire, UK / Home-based.

Job Purpose: 

To be a key member of our health economics team, which involves supporting clients to perform economic analysis such as creating cost-effectiveness and budget impact models. Activities will also include work related to epidemiological studies, disease management, unmet medical needs, the burden of disease, cost of illness, relative efficacy and safety, as well as supporting strategic pricing and marketing, value proposition and communication.

Responsibilities:

Collaborating with a range of colleagues across health economics, market access and medical writing teams to successfully deliver a range of projects including:

  • Development of health economic models such as cost-effectiveness and budget impact models.
  • Local adaptations of global models ready for submission to HTA agencies or publication
  • Using models to estimate the most cost-effective and equitable use of resources in healthcare.
  • Developing technical reports, clinical summaries, product dossiers and value messages to support reimbursement submissions.
  • Analysing and interpreting clinical, reimbursement and pricing information to support health economic and strategic market access projects for global pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.
  • Undertaking primary and secondary research.
  • Development and management of project plans. 
  • Drafting and submission of proposals, pitches, and other business development materials.
  • Verbal and written client communication and presentation.

About you

Experience:

  • Prior market access or health economic modelling experience.
  • Project management experience
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
  • A strong level of proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Experience with coding in VBA and R is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
  • Agile and flexible.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively.

Essential: 

  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant subject (e.g., maths, statistics, economics, or another quantitative subject).
  • Proven interest in the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare consulting

Desirable 

  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Health Economics, HTA, Healthcare Policy, Public Health) and/or relevant work experience/internships

Salary: £30,000 – £38,000
