Market Access Manager

Accountabilities:

  • Drive product pricing analysis and recommendations by analyzing competitive products and pricing, ensuring alignment with brand value proposition, understanding customer groups (patients and physicians).
  • Monitor environment and practices for shifts in trends or behaviors, interpret likely impact, and suggest appropriate actions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of competitive market conditions that affect pricing for individual brands and the overall industry.
  • Evaluate changing marketplace dynamics and proactively recommend pricing strategies related to managed care, reimbursement environment, federal and state regulations.
  • Obtain relevant competitive information on managed care pricing and contracts.
  • Provide modeling of pricing recommendations and financial impacts for new and existing products.
  • Serve as a resource for Licensing and Business Development in assessing price for potential opportunities.
  • Effectively formulate and utilize market research data.
  • Create strategic business plans for existing products and the product pipeline.
  • Participate in umbrella organization strategy, preparing and supporting negotiations with the umbrella organization and management team.
  • Adapt global value dossiers for local reimbursement and offer documents for social insurance and hospitality providers; develop the value story (including Health Economics & Outcome Studies).
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders such as local brand teams and global market access teams, as well as external stakeholders such as Key Opinion Leaders for Market Access to gather views and derive resulting actions.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Medical, Pharmacy, Science, Economics, or Health Economics background
  • Experience as a Market Access Manager or Product Manager, Marketing Manager, Sales Manager with pharmaceutical industry is necessary
  • Skillful in collaboration with key customers, KEE, team players
  • Keen analytical skills and strategic thinking
  • Ability to cover different therapeutic areas
  • Policy shaping expertise
  • Open profile with a willingness to learn
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical market and healthcare system
  • Ability to identify correlations between clinical trials, pharmacoeconomic, and benefits for payers and patients
  • Strong professional interactions with internal and external customers
  • Collaborative working style
  • Analytical thinking
