Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Accountable for development, execution and follow up of effective and competitive Market Access Strategy and tactics in assigned perimeter, resulting in raised awareness and confidence in Medtronic as a vendor of high-tech and cost-effective medical equipment, therapies and solutions.
  • Lead and coordinate all Market Access activities for a given perimeter in patient-centric, collaborative and cross-functional manner with internal and external stakeholders, thus creating a stable and positive environment for patient access and Medtronic business in the perimeter.
  • Apply regionally agreed Market Access Process to regularly collect, analyze and transfer relevant internal and external insights into compelling short-term, mid-term and long-term Market Access strategy and tactics, share best practices and apply corrective measures (where needed).
  • Utilize Market Access networking (with government bodies, medical insurance, health care professionals, patient advocacy groups, industry associations etc.) to raise awareness and drive meaningful professional engagement related to unmet medical needs and benefits that new assets, local pathways and protocols could provide to patients and healthcare system.
  • Lead negotiations with payers and other Market Access stakeholders on pricing, reimbursement, local pathways, service models, HTA and other enabling mechanisms affecting designated products, including innovative pricing, and contracting.
  • Regularly utilize and effectively blend product knowledge, therapy expertise, clinical, health-economic and policy data into compelling value propositions for payers in the given perimeter.
  • Provide proactive and timely input to the Country Manager Bulgaria and Market Access and Strategic Partnerships Director for Africa and CEE on possible opportunities and risks relative to Market Access for selected portfolio.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • University Diploma in Life science or Health Economics.
  • 3-5 years of Market Access experience from medtech or pharmaceutical industry, in a multinational company with strong reputation in the country and/or served in medical aid sector/public healthcare on health care policy.
  • Proven track record on developing and executing successful Market Access tools and projects with medical insurance and national authorities in Bulgaria, as well as in cross-functional collaborative manner.
  • Languages: Native Bulgarian; fluent Business English (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to travel within Bulgaria if needed.
  • High ethical standards.

Pay range / Rango salarial / Intervalo salarial /Fascia retributiva / Tranche de salaire / Gehaltsband / Salaribereik: Bulgaria: 38,720.00 EUR – 58,080.00 EUR | This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
