These health economist roles include cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA) responsibilities. Typical work includes building and adapting decision-analytic models such as Markov and partitioned survival models, extrapolating survival data, sourcing utility and cost inputs, and running deterministic and probabilistic sensitivity analyses. The results estimate cost per QALY and support HTA submissions, pricing and reimbursement decisions.
