Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting an Associate Director, Global Real-World Evidence to be located in Raritan, NJ.

The Associate Director, Global Real-World Evidence , will lead strategy development, execution and communication of industry-leading Global RWE strategies and capabilities supporting multiple assets in the J&J immunology portfolio. This individual will report directly to the Senior Director, Global Real-World Evidence, and partner closely with RWE Researchers and Programmers in the global RWE Analytic Hub, to optimize our global go-to-market launch planning strategies through innovative and highly strategic decisions and investments using RWE.

This individual will manage key partnerships to support multiple immunology assets, liaising cross-functional partners from global medical affairs, global market access, global epidemiology, J&J technology data sciences, Janssen R&D data science, regional medical affair and evidence generation functions.

Other key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Develop a global strategy for generating real-world evidence to support key immunology pipeline assets
  • Foster robust partnership with global medical affairs, global market access and other cross-functional teams throughout the integrated evidence generation process
  • Provide guidance to RWE researchers and programmers at the Analytic Hub, ensuring adherence to highest standards in study design, execution and reporting
  • Oversee project management and execution of internal RWE generation endeavors, external research collaboration, and vendor relationship
  • Lead the coordination and execution of all Evidence Lab across TA’s, collaborating with fellow RWE team members to enhance our insights and pursue continuous improvement
  • Represent the global RWE team in cross-functional, integrated evidence generation initiatives, ensuring our thorough involvement in crucial business decision-making processes
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, legal and commercial regulations in conducting research, publication and disseminating scientific information

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a master’s degree in public health, health services research, economics, biostatistics, epidemiology, or related field. An advanced degree is preferred (PhD, PharmD or MD).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in RWE in the healthcare industry
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in the immunology therapy area(s) is preferred.
  • Global exposure in medical affairs, market access, and/or R&D environment
  • Proficiency in implementing outcomes-based strategies and tactics to achieve commercial and scientific objectives for a given asset
  • Proven track record in conducting observational research, including study design, database assessment, protocol development, execution and dissemination
  • Ability to effectively communicate highly technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Working knowledge of global healthcare landscape across key international markets
  • Demonstrated capabilities in strategic thinking, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools, such as SAS, R, and Python
  • Familiarity with various RWD sources including claims, EMR, registry
  • Advanced knowledge in observational study design and statistical modeling
  • Strong publication record in health service research, epidemiology, clinical, statistical and/or health economic journals

Other:

  • This position is based in Raritan, NJ and will require ~10% travel
  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $135K to $202K USD.
