Senior Principal Analyst – Market Access

The Senior Principal Analyst – Market Access will be a key functional and technical resource in ensuring the planning, delivery, and support of key solutions supporting the US and International Market Access business partners. This role will partner with business leadership to develop capabilities and systems roadmaps that align to support business strategy. Additionally, the Senior Principal Analyst will ensure team members maintain reliable, scalable and compliant systems that easily meet business needs by efficient delivery and enhancements that provides opportunities for developing and implementing innovative solutions and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding cross-functional stakeholder needs, facilitating the negotiation of requirements among conflicting priorities across multiple stakeholder groups, and becoming a trusted IT business partner within their remit.
  • Understand their needs and vision and deliver technology solutions to support and enable business goals and objectives.
  • Provide insights on how technology can improve business processes to enable operating efficiencies and support the achievement of business goals and objectives.
  • Help refine and execute the technology strategy by supporting the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of technology solutions.
  • Work closely with DTE Compliance, Internal Audit, and Quality Assurance groups as needed to ensure compliance with all appropriate regulations, as well as our DTE system lifecycle and change management requirements.
  • Identifying the current- and future-state business processes and systems, creating, analyzing, and validating detailed functional and technical requirements/specifications, facilitating design sessions with the development team to define the solution, and delivering elements of systems design and other detailed deliverables.
  • Leverage strong communication and analytical skills, business relationships, and business process expertise to understand, document, assess, and drive business change needs to accelerate process enhancement and operational efficiencies.
  • Partner with offshore team members, business, QA stakeholders, and IT peers for platform support, as well as enhancements and projects.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with peers in DTE, Market Access, Commercial, Quality, Vendor partners, and various other teams to help design, develop, enhance, and deliver solutions that meet business goals and objectives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deep experience in the Revenue Management domain – functional and technical ability with implementations, enhancements, and operational support procedures
  • Strong experience with working in Regulated industries
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret functional requirements and specifications to convert them into technical or process-driven solutions and configurations.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Flexibility to adapt to a continually changing and fast-paced business environment.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of good project management practices as well as the fundamentals of the System Lifecyle (SLC) and Information Technology operational practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of the core disciplines of project management, business analysis, solution design, delivery, and testing
  • Experienced in building productive partnerships with business stakeholders and aligning them around a recommendation/solution.
  • Strong understanding of the business, processes, and any appropriate regulatory environments.
  • Results-oriented contributor with a proven track record of on-time project delivery for large, complex projects with global stakeholders.
  • Able to manage own workload with minimal direction.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills and strong ability to present complex or sensitive information in a clear and concise manner to various technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
  • Good knowledge of running IT-managed services or outsourced/ offshore teams.
  • Very strong MS Office skills, including MS Project & Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint experience.
  • Experience in Agile methodology.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology discipline or equivalent
  • Typically requires 9 years relevant business systems in the Life Sciences industry, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Functional/Technical knowledge in Contracts and Pricing, Global Pricing Management, Government and Medicaid Reporting, Gross-to-Net Forecasting, Price Transparency, Health Economics and Outcomes Research
  • Experience with ModelN
  • Biotech and pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Experience working with managed services and/or offshore teams

Flex Designation:Hybrid-Eligible Or On-Site Eligible

Flex Eligibility Status:

In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as: 
1.    Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
2.    On-Site: work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
