Market Access Associate Director

Bogota, Colombia / Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The Associate Director (AD) acts as a resource to the Global Market Access team (GMAx), Regional Market Access team and Country Market Access teams to develop and implement comprehensive patient access strategies for the prioritized vaccines (Pneumococco and new vaccines) in alignment with the Latin America Leadership Team (LALT) priorities. In this capacity, the AD will lead the development of the Reimbursement and Access Strategy, Value Demonstration & Affordability solutions in collaboration with the Regional Market Access Lead (RMAL), Regional Leaders for Commercial, Medical Affairs, Policy, Outcome Research, Pricing and Affordability.

Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Global public policy, communications and population Health (PCPH) and OR colleagues within the region to deliver the integrated brand plan for each of his/her priority products/indications.
  • Collaborate with GMAx, PCPH and Outcome Research (OR) to drive funding allocation, reimbursement and affordability solutions for each of his/her priority products
  • Develop Market Access Content (i.e. Payer Value Decks, Payer Visual Aids, Calculators) articulating the burden/cost of disease and unmet needs with the clinical and economic value meeting company and local guidelines
  • Partner with Regional OR and local Outcomes Research colleagues in the development of real-world evidence and economic analyses to support value demonstration
  • Ensures alignment of local data generation studies proposals and strategy, consistent with country value demonstration requirements, working closely with OR and Medical Affairs
  • Gather stakeholder inputs (i.e. Expert Input Forums, Market Research, News/Reports/Publications) to identify drivers and barriers to achieve reimbursement and maximize patient access

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • BA/BS with master’s degree in business administration, public health/epidemiology, health policy or health economics
  • At least 3 years of Local/LatAm or US/Global experience in one or more of the following functional areas: Market Access, HTA/OR, Marketing Vaccines, Business Development,, New Products Launch in the Lifesciences Industry
  • Proven track record in achieving patient access in the public and private sector for Vaccines and Specialty care/Hospital products
  • Understanding of healthcare system archetypes and access pathways of at least 1 of the main Latin America countries (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico).
  • Fluent in Spanish, English and/or Portuguese

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • MD/DMD/PharmD with postgraduate studies in business administration, public health/epidemiology, health policy or health economics
  • At least 2 years country/regional experience in one or more of the following functional areas: Market Access, Pricing, Affordability, Health Technology Assessment or Health Policy in the Pharmaceutical industry
  • Understanding of healthcare systems and reimbursement pathways, including health technology assessments of major Latin America countries
  • Understanding and application of our company’s policies for stakeholder engagements in compliance with local regulations

The incumbent will report to the Regional Market Access Director (Latin America)

Travel: Yes, up to 33% of the time

Work Location: Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil or Panama
