BDxConnect Portal is our efficient, easy-to-use patient registration and management portal that helps improve clinical workflows. Our CAM Report provides clinically actionable data that is reported in an outstanding and proprietary format, offering an efficient turnaround time for reports and multiple-field views.

The Senior Market Access Manager will be responsible for managing the reimbursement strategy for the cardiology product portfolio, including applicable Federal, State and Commercial health policies impacting coding, coverage and payment.  Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to supervising the cardiology reimbursement landscape, leading advocacy efforts for health policy and coverage policies, conducting analysis on reimbursement potential on new and emerging technologies and establishing payment rates with payers and other reimbursement policies that restrict patient access.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Develop and implement Market Access strategy for cardiology products, including reimbursement development and payer policy development/revisions, with teamwork from health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), marketing, sales, research and development, medical and government affairs.
• Assess and communicate the coding, coverage and payment landscape for current and new devices.
• Develop and execute specific strategies to enable efficient reimbursement and coverage for patients.
• Develop and effectively communicate clinical and economic value propositions to payer decision makers.
• Negotiate coverage, pricing and policy language with government and commercial payers for cardiac monitoring services.
• Strategic thought leader regarding the Market Access landscape, as it relates to changes in payer coverage and payment policies, strategy and reimbursement development for new products, coverage expansion opportunities for existing products.
• Lead the effort of building and growing long term executive level account relationships with targeted national and regional payers.
• Proactively identifying market trends, key market access customers and opinion leaders on a continual basis.
• Work with the Director of Market Access, FLC Marketing, Government Affairs, Medical Affairs, Health Economics, Legal / Compliance as well as external KOLs, patient advocacy groups and select consultants to build access and favorable reimbursement for the Cardiology portfolio products.
• Ability to travel 25%, depending on demands of current initiatives and key meetings with both internal and external customers/stakeholders. Overnight travel may be required.

Your Location
Ideal locations for this role would include Bellevue, WA, St. Paul, MN, or Houston, TX.

What You’ll Bring
• Bachelor’s degree is required with focus on healthcare, including nursing, health economics, public health or business.
• At least 10 years required Healthcare Reimbursement/Medical Device related experience with demonstrable evidence of successfully partnering with customers and achieving shared goals and outcomes; cardiac space is ideal; medical device or pharmaceutical.
•Experience in developing/growing reimbursement (coding, coverage, and payment) for new technologies, and across commercial and government payers, preferred.
•Experience in market access for a product launch required.
•Experience in rapidly growing reimbursement for independent diagnostic testing facilities (IDTF), preferred.
• Prior experience evaluating and presenting clinical outcomes and health economics data.
• Experience working with government or commercial payers & their decision makers/Medical Directors.
• Possess extensive knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, reimbursements and programs, Federal Marketplace (VA/DoD), Regional Health Plans and National Health Plans.
• Proven track record in reimbursement development for new technologies and coverage expansion of clinical indications for existing technologies.
• Expertise in government and commercial plans, payer systems and knowledge of industry trends in pricing and reimbursement.
• Understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements, payment methodologies, CPT and HCPCS coding, compliance, third party billing, appeals and external payer audits.
• Ability to read sophisticated payer/government regulations and policies.
• Verbal, written and presentation skills for various audiences, including regulatory and clinical content.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $128,000 – $176,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
