Senior Manager, HEOR

Otemachi, Japan.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Lead priority inline brands and pipeline assets, applying critical thinking and technical expertise to characterize, communicate and preserve the value of BMS medicines.
  • For priority inline products: work with the Integrated Evidence Generation (IEG) teams to develop and execute a strategic and time-sensitive value demonstration strategy including:
    • Assessment of BMS product properties.
    • Review of competitive situation and dynamic.
    • Assessment of key BMS and competitor data.
    • Undertake a data gap analysis and literature review to determine brand needs, risks and opportunities.
    • Plan and execute evidence generation projects to support and communicate BMS medicine value across the clinical, humanistic and economic domains.
  • For pipeline products:
  • Work with the IEG team to determine pre-launch evidence generation plans to support Access, Medical and Commercial strategic imperatives. Provide HEOR input into evidence generation activities developed by other divisions (e.g., medical) in support of successful commercialization
  • Coordinate and manage larger projects with internal teams and external service providers
  • Bridge between global HEOR and local cross-functional teams to
    • Maximize value of global work to Japan
    • Ensure global input and understanding of work undertaken in Japan
  • Be fully engaged in, and ensure HEOR representation at cross-functional meetings and discussions

Engage externally to support the defining and communication of BMS policy positions on Market Access matters and the value of medicines

Education:

Advanced degree (such as MPH, MS, or PhD) preferably in a discipline such as public health, epidemiology, health economics or related discipline 

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Health Economics and Outcomes Research with proven record of performance and success in driving projects such as literature reviews, meta-analysis, database studies, patient reported outcomes (PRO) studies, and cost-effectiveness analysis etc.
  • Experience in driving a cross-functional team project and evidence generation planning and executions with other functions

Skillset / knowledge base :

  • Awareness of the current and evolving regulatory and access environment
  • Understanding and interest in the value of medicines
  • Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and structure
  • Technical competency in Health economic or Outcomes Research/ Real World Evidence or statistical methodologies
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical development processes
