Senior Manager, Market Access

The Senior Manager, Market Access, leads the development of Integrated Access Strategies and PBAC submissions for designated pipeline products to gain, maintain and grow funded patient access in Australia. You will also represent AbbVie externally with the Department of Health and Aged Care, Medicines Australia and with external experts relevant to the portfolio.

This role is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and ensure implementation of market access strategies to maximise the commercial potential of the existing portfolio and new products by leading the development of PBAC submissions, including managing external consultants where appropriate.
  • Maintain high level of external competitor intelligence and environmental scanning relevant to portfolio through regular review of PBAC, MA, scientific and media publications.
  • Represent MA on pipeline therapy area / product cross functional and early Brand Teams and on rapid/early assessments. Collaborate within Pipeline Strategy team on cross- Pipeline Strategy initiatives.
  • Report any adverse event within 24 hours as per AbbVie’s policies and procedures.
  • Proactively participate in AbbVie’s WHS programs, adhere to policies and promote a safe work environment at all times.
  • Adhere to AbbVie’s internal codes of conduct and compliance processes.
  • Other ad hoc duties such as administrative duties, as requested.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Biomedical, Science, Public Health, Health Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Strong experience of PBAC submissions, negotiations and associated processes (or similar access environment)
  • HTA/Health economics and outcomes research/statistics
  • Ability to quickly understand and navigate complexity
  • Demonstrated Strategic Thinking and Innovation mindset
  • Commercial Acumen and Analytical skills
  • Strong Communication skills
