Policy and Market Access Lead

Vilnius, Lithuania / Tallinn, Estonia.

Our Policy & Market Access team collaborate with government entities and policy organizations at local and national levels. We address legislative and regulatory issues that promote the discovery and development of innovative medicines, vaccines and animal health products while improving and protecting patient access to care.

As Policy & Market Access Lead, Baltics you will be responsible for developing public policy position and strategies and critically supporting strategic alignment and prioritization of policy issues and positions within our company’s business, financial and planning processes in the Baltics. You will also take the lead in driving our company’s policy agenda in addition to monitoring and ensuring execution of priority policy strategies.

An important part of the role will be developing recommendations in market shaping, addressing policy challenges, developing action plans and measuring policy impact. Developing policy, strategy and responses aligned and prioritized with respect to business needs will be critical in this position.

In this role you will be responsible for the Policy & Market Access Team in the Baltics and will lead professional and dedicated colleagues. 

Primary activities and Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of integrated market access and policy strategies across relevant therapeutic areas which support the achievement of our company’s commercial goals.
  • Lead the development of commercially attractive reimbursement, tender and contracting strategies, including pricing strategies and obtaining necessary internal price approvals.
  • Support local data generation studies proposals and strategy, consistent with value demonstration requirements.
  • Provide support to the marketing strategies, understanding the critical importance of both national and regional market access for business success.
  • Promoting our company’s position with influential stakeholders, institutions, and organizations.
  • Identify, build, and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders that are needed for the execution of market access and policy strategies.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Baltics health care system, including payer landscape, policy objectives, health priorities and planned government initiatives.
  • Lead the team of strong professionals across the Baltic markets.
  • Manage talent within the team and forecast personnel needs. Support recruiting efforts, conduct performance evaluation, and ensure appropriate development.
  • Ensures activities in the team are carried out in accordance with internal rules and applicable legislations.
  • Actively contributing to the leadership team and leveraging strong enterprise leadership skills to drive strategic decision-making and foster cross-functional collaboration within the organization.

Education, Background & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, health economics (or equivalent) from accredited university could be a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in similar positions.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing access and policy strategies.
  • Proven ability to establish strong influential relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of key market access issues and external policy environment relative to access to medicines.
  • Proven leader with ability to manage high performing and experienced team.
  • Business proficient in English.
