Value & Access Head

The Head of Value & Access GCC will be responsible for:

• External Stakeholder mapping, management and engagement across the GCC
• Leading & building the V&A team across the GCC
• Price negotiation, value dossier localization and value dossier submission for the GCC affiliate for Biogen portfolio
• Developing a comprehensive negotiation strategy for Biogen portfolio supporting the Head of GCC
• Representing the affiliate at the Biogen International Region pricing council and other Value & Access governance bodies
• Participation as a key member in the GCC LT
• The candidate will report to the Head of GCC cluster
• The candidate will be the Value & Access contact of reference for access questions related to GCC

The V&A Access Head will also be responsible of: 

• Work jointly with counterparts in Global and Regional Value & Access functions to develop and execute the overall Value & Access strategies for the GCC markets together with the GCC V&A team
• Develop and execute stakeholder mapping and stakeholder engagement plans for V&A
• Develop and execute an effective product launch/lifecycle strategy including pricing, access scheme
• Coordinate project budget at affiliate level to effectively generate the reimbursement and market access evidence to support our payer value stories.
• Engage external stakeholders in close collaboration with the Head of GCC: high civil servants, payers, representants of the civil society

• Masters and/or relevant doctorate (PhD) in discipline including Economics, Public Health, Health Care, or Health Services & Medical or Pharma degree
• Proficient leadership, influencing, strategic planning and organization, decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient HEOR technical skills, including modeling (cost-effectiveness and budget impact), patient-reported outcomes analyses, and conducting real-world outcomes studies.
• Strong understanding of payer environment, both in GCC and globally, including coverage and reimbursement, value drivers, formulary management, health technologies assessment, and health policy.
• Engagement experience with official agencies
• Experienced in developing payer policy and strategies.
• Understanding of pharmaceutical product development and/or commercialization.
• Demonstrates ability to build relationships, collaboration, and teamwork across functions.
• Experienced people manager
• Experienced in supporting pricing and reimbursement negotiations with payers.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic
