To complete our Commercial Team in Middle East Africa we are currently recruiting for a Head of Market Access and Access Payer Policy and Advocacy (APPA) Middle East Africa (fulltime / permanent position) to be based in Riyadh.
Position Purpose:
- Define the Market Access Strategy and implement tactics for access and retention of CSL Behring’s products in Middle East Africa by demonstrating their therapeutic, economic, and societal value using a deep knowledge of the pricing and economic environment.
- Obtain optimal pricing and reimbursement for CSL Behring’s products.
- Elaborate Market Access Plans for new product launches as well as for the existing portfolio of CSL Behring Middle East Africa aligned with the Company Strategy. Ensure the implementation of these plans to the MEA market in full respect of Health Policies, national laws, rules, and guidelines.
- Establish relationship with key stakeholders such as National and Regional Health Authorities, Medical Societies, Scientific Institutions and Payers.
- Manage and Coordinate Regional Market Access activities and ensure the alignment with the Company Strategy.
- Collaborate to Tenders and Public Contracts
- Active collaboration with Regulatory, Medical affairs, Marketing and Sales teams and within the CSL Behring Intercontinental Market Access Group.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Responsible for implementing market access strategy to support growth of CSL business in a designated territory
- Builds and maintains relationships with health economic opinion leaders, reimbursement agencies, and healthcare groups
- Communicates information on product efficacy to shape opinion regarding the value of company products
- Monitors external environment, customers and competitors to identify opportunities for protecting and improving value capture
- Evaluates pricing and market access risks
- Optimizes payer value proposition and pricing policy
Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in business, health policy, health economics, life sciences or healthcare discipline; MBA preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in or Market Access Manager (MAM) or Regional Market Access (RAM) in Pharmaceutical Companies dealing with health and regulatory stakeholders at both national and regional level.
- Experience in sales or marketing combined with at least three years’ experience in health economics and/or Market Access at Middle East Africa level
- Experience in developing price and reimbursement dossiers. Experience in negotiations with health authorities and hospital management is preferred.
- Broad and deep knowledge of the plasma protein market is a plus.
- Ability to work in English is required (both written and verbal communications)
- The ability to work in Arabic and/or French is a plus
