Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Health Economics, Market Access and Reimbursement Manager to join our Market Access Team located in Prague, Czech Republic.

Role Summary:

As a Health Economics, Market Access and Reimbursement Manager (HEMAR Manager), you will contribute to patient access through the creation of payer value stories for defined therapeutic areas and effectively engage with payers. In this key role, you will report to the country HEMAR Lead and be important in supporting strategic and operational market access work.

You will also contribute by taking ownership over all access related challenges within your therapeutic areas. You will work closely with engaged colleagues within the commercial and medical team to create optimal access conditions for patients to the J&J Innovative medicine portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead local HEMAR activities in the assigned therapeutic areas
  • Review, critique and adapt global/EMEA economic models and value dossiers to local business needs to support optimum reimbursement and timely patient access for products under responsibility
  • Prepare all the documents vital for the local submission for reimbursement and funding
  • Supervise and follow of the evaluation of the process within Health Authorities,
  • Anticipate questions and elements requests and prepare answers upfront
  • Work collaboratively with commercial and medical affairs colleagues to generate / adapt data and tools that strengthen overall product value proposition – Implement HEMAR plans
  • Implement global health economics and outcomes research strategies and tactics that develop, substantiate, and communicate the value of new as well as strategic in-line products.
  • Participate into cross-functional brand teams and contribute to overall strategy meetings by supporting and feeding intelligence from all activities outlined above
  • Actively engage with clinicians, academics and payers to build a keen awareness of customer needs and deliver projects that leverage external stakeholder insights and add value to HC System stakeholders.
  • Communicates the outstanding attributes of the therapeutic area drugs/medical devices to external multi-stakeholders to ensure the drug’s/device’s value proposition will be recognized and improve market uptake.
  • Works collectively with payers, including HTA, reimbursement influencers and other decision makers to ensure the continuous changing reimbursement systems remain fair to all involved parties.
  • Conducts quantitative, qualitative pricing research and Burden of disease studies.
  • Actively contribute in the therapeutic cross functional team to develop and implement innovative value solutions
  • Active engagement and collaboration with payers to build value and access to new treatment
  • Ensure local teams are well informed and educated.
  • Liaison with regional and Global Market Access and Pricing Teams
  • Develop strategic projects with the access mindset to ensure that the results will favorably impact pricing/reimbursement/market access.

Qualifications

  • Education: Relevant Bachelor’s degree, Preferred Master’s degree.
  • Experience in Health Economics and Market Access (preferably > 5 years).
  • Proven Experience with HTA Authorities and strong Market knowledge.
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams & navigate complex settings that involve multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and/or run projects with external stakeholders.
  • Strong networking and presentation skills.
  • Excellent English proficiency.
