Director, Business Development, HEOR, RWE, & Market Access

OPEN Health’s Business Development team is looking to add a highly experienced team member to lead growth efforts in the Evidence & Access (HEOR and Market Access) Practice. The role will be focused on business development within key accounts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Owning and leading the growth plan and strategy for assigned client accounts, considering client insight, OPEN Health’s commercial status, the existing business, and potential opportunities for expansion
    • Identifying key client decision makers (including procurement and budget holders) with an associated plan to engage to generate new leads, as well as drive opportunities and cross-sell through existing client relationships
  • Driving lead generation e.g. via conversations and relationships with existing clients, via proactive outreach activity, via conferences, maximizing marketing leads, and by working with the Demand Generation team
  • Converting leads to opportunities, initiating a consultative sell and bringing in and briefing subject matter experts at an appropriate point to contribute to this
    • Uncovering the client need
    • Discussing OPEN Health’s associated expertise and ideas
    • Delivering capabilities presentations
    • Defining and qualifying the brief
  • Managing the opportunity triage process to ensure the most appropriate team is allocated to deliver the best response, in a timely manner
  • Overseeing opportunity conversion and contracting, bringing client insight and win strategies to proposal development to drive success
  • Working collaboratively across E&A and the wider OPEN Health teams
  • Identifying cross-sell opportunities for other OPEN Health Practices
  • Ensuring all leads and opportunities are accurately and appropriately tracked in the CRM

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • BA, BS, MS., PhD., PharmD., MD, MPH, or relevant advanced education
  • Extensive experience and success selling HEOR and Market Access services, with deep insight into the needs of OPEN Health’s clients
  • Ability to lead own accounts autonomously
  • Documented success in meeting and/or exceeding sales targets at scale
  • Excellent verbal & written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong collaboration and partnership with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook) and experience of effectively utilizing CRM platforms and other tools to support and inform business development planning, targeting and success

Travel Requirements:

  • 15-25% potential travel, including internationally
