Cambridge, UK.
To meet the needs of our growing pipeline and the external environment, AstraZeneca are investing in a new Centre of Excellence to support our HTA efforts around the world. Based in our global Barcelona hub, we have exciting opportunities for experienced, applied HTA methodologists to join one of our two HTA and Modelling Science (HMS) teams at either a Manager or Lead level. These two teams, that work closely together, are split by therapy area, covering either Oncology (our Oncology Business Unit (OBU)) or Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolism and Respiratory & Immunology and Vaccines & Immune (our BioPharmaceutical Business Unit (BBU)).
In either team, and as part of a multi-disciplinary group, including HTA statisticians and market access specialists, you will be helping us to shape the payer environment, creating and delivering highly valued market access solutions that unlock the potential of our life-changing medicines for patients around the world.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will be responsible for the use and implementation of HTA methodology, such as economic modelling or indirect comparisons, for use in global HTA submissions and beyond, to support patients having access to our innovative medicines. With the growing use of HTA, including the upcoming Joint Clinical Assessment in Europe, you will play an important role in shaping what we do and how we do it, and not just in the delivery of analyses and tools, but also the interpretation and communication of their value to decision-makers.
By working cross-functionally within your disease area, and with your counterparts in the other global Business Units, you will help us transform the future of healthcare by unlocking the power of what science can do for people, society and the planet.
Development of our people is of most importance to us too. And, as part of our new Centre of Excellence, there will be the ability to learn and further develop skills, as well as opportunities to experience different therapy areas over time. Furthermore, your expertise is critical in our future vision and we hope you would share your skills with colleagues too.
