The purpose of the role is to support and devise the local market access strategy and ensure timely execution of the market access deliverables for the assigned products/indications. The role will report to the Head of Market Access and Government Affairs. The focus will be mainly on Oncology pipeline products.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Build and execute market access strategies for pipeline, launch and existing products.
- Lead the full reimbursement process for new products/indications with key external stakeholders (NCPE, CPU, NCCP) including development of rapid review, HTA and negotiation strategy and implementation.
- Collaborate with the cross functional team to develop high quality reimbursement dossiers.
- Develop pricing strategies in accordance with Global pricing guidelines and set optimal list and net prices to ensure that planned reimbursement and market access can be achieved.
- Monitor and keep up to date with new developments in HEOR/HTA methodology and Irish healthcare policy that could impact Daiichi Sankyo’s products.
- Attend local conferences to understand the environment and current trends, interact with relevant stakeholders.
Education: University degree in (Health) Economics, Health Sciences, Pharma or related discipline.
Professional experience:
- A minimum of two years professional experience in market access or health economics in the pharmaceutical industry or related organisation.
- Technical knowledge and training in HEOR methods along with a comprehensive understanding of the Irish market access environment.
- Experience in managing and driving reimbursement applications with the HSE and engagement with relevant stakeholders (NCPE, CPU, NCCP & MMP).
- Technical capability in cost effectiveness modelling and budget impact modelling including basic model adaptation.
- Experience in commercial negotiations would be an advantage.
Language: Fluent in English , both oral and written communications
