Market Access Senior Manager

Market Access Senior Manager will work with  Marketing, Sales and Access Execution lead and will be responsible for managing value strategy and market access projects that includes developing market access strategies, payer evidence expectations, value message testing/refinement, P&R assessments, briefing documents.

Take a leading role to obtain, and maintain, reimbursement for Pfizer’s products. A leading contributor in the work on developing of pricing strategies and perform relevant health economic analyzes. This is done in close cooperation with the relevant business unit. has a leading role in the search for scientific support for the efficacy of Pfizer medicines through real world data Provide patients with better access to innovative medicines by creating new pathways together with different stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

  • Optimize Cluster and local market access of new and launched medicines by developing the strategy locally and tailoring the tools and tactics to local market needs
  • Identify, engage, build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, that are needed for the flawless execution of the Market Access Strategies for the responsible Therapeutic Areas (TAs)
  • Develop and maintain reports summarizing payer evidence requirements to inform payer value propositions in selected strategic disease areas
  • Create and set up innovative and impactful projects that support the needs of the customers and create win partnerships
  • Monitor the healthcare and political environment and competitive landscape to capture events impacting market access of the medicines and advise H & V Organization on actions to address national, regional and local threats and opportunities
  • Contribute to HTA readiness activities to support development of evidence-based value dossiers and payer value propositions
  • Represent market access in the brand teams of the relevant TAs
  • Participate and engage in assigned therapeutic team or business unit and actively work in a cross-functional environment.
  • Produce well documented credible and transparent reimbursement dossiers and value statements.
  • Identify required input regarding epidemiology, treatment pattern, burden of illness, health economic arguments and budget impact. 
  • A mutual responsibility for achieving agreed business goals together with assigned business unit.
  • Ability to deliver value stories and shape environment with external stakeholders via different channels, such as meetings, conferences and publications
  • Ability to think strategically with strong commercial / business acumen

Key Functional Competencies:

Evidence generation and analytics

Ability to generate and use evidence to support development and deployment of product value strategy to ensure optimal product access and uptake.

Health Policy and Health System Dynamics

Has a holistic understanding of health systems and health policy, with a deep and specific knowledge of pricing, reimbursement, funding and procurement processes.

Payer Value Drivers

Understands needs, interests and drivers of value for payers and their key influencers. Brings these external stakeholder perspectives into Pfizer.

Value & Access Strategy

Ability to develop and deliver, in a cross-functional setting, a compelling value and access strategy, tailored to payer & other stakeholders interests and needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Pharmacy, Health Economy or pharmacoeconomic.   
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Market Access, health Economy or pharmacoeconomic role. 
  • Excellent command of the English and Arabic language.
  • Solid understanding of payers and customers’ needs and able to create and offer value adding solutions, Saudi healthcare system and transformation
  • Effective communication and writing skills.
  • Saudi National preferred
