Manager, Patient-Centered Outcomes Research

The Manager, Patient-Centered Outcomes Research implements predefined global strategies and tactics in support of assigned compounds/indications in compliance with standards and policies and with the active oversight and collaboration of manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing HEOR strategic plan(s) for pipeline assets.
  • Ensures timely and quality HEOR deliverables (publications, dossiers, government responses) that support development of strong value propositions for AbbVie products.
  • Assist HEOR team to assess potential Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO) for inclusion in clinical trials.
  • Oversee HEOR data analyses, interpret & present results; communicate to HEOR team and other functions on the implications of study findings in a clear and effective manner.
  • Assures compliance of HEOR studies with established research standards and principles. Assures alignment of research activities with Scientific Research Annual Plan; communicates any changes from plan in timely manner.
  • Responsible for appropriate utilization of allocated project budgets.
  • Actively contributes to the development and publishing of scientific articles and presentations, compliant with AbbVie and pharmaceutical industry publication guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral Degree in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR)/ related field OR Masters degree in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR)/ related field and 1-2+ years of experience conducting HEOR Research.
  • Firmly grounded in the scientific fundamentals of one or more of the core HEOR specialties (epidemiology, biostatistics, patient reported outcomes, health services research, economics, clinical practice or behavioral science).
  • Capable of performing health economic projects from inception through publication and application with minimal oversight.
  • Proven track record of strategic thinking, operational excellence and good communication skills.
