Janssen Global Commercial Strategy Neuroscience Therapeutic Area, a group within Janssen Global Services, LLC and a member of Johnson & Johnson’s family of companies, is recruiting for a Manager Global Market Access. This position will be based in Titusville, NJ.

Under normal circumstances, the job may require up to 15% domestic and international travel; this travel requirement will be flexible and will adapt according to how the COVID-19 situation evolves as well as the respective guidance from J&J.

Reporting to the Compound Market Access Lead (CMAL), the Manager, Global Market Access, Neuroscience TA, has a key role in supporting the CMAL develop and drive the market access strategy for the respective product/indication, aligned with the global brand strategy. In doing so, the Manager will help shape key strategic decisions such as clinical development and integrated evidence generation.

The Manager supports the CMAL in development of brand value propositions and collaborates through the Compound and Extended Market Access Teams (CMAT / EMAT) to deliver timely, optimal reimbursement in a highly challenging environment across diverse regions with complex and differing needs. The Manager with support from the CMAL must understand the needs of markets and develop appropriate solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Compound Market Access Leader (CMAL) for strategic planning and implementation of the payer value generation and access strategies for the product / indication in scope.
  • Drive the design and management of health outcomes studies for the indication including systematic literature reviews, meta-analyses, real world evidence studies, and user-friendly cost effectiveness and budget impact models that can be adapted for coordinated delivery to key decision makers.
  • Support the CMAL in interaction with Regional Market Access/Health Economics / Outcomes Research and Medical Affairs teams to coordinate and develop real world evidence generation in support of their access programs.
  • Provide input on the indication specific clinical working group (CWG) in terms of market access data needs related to the clinical development plan.
  • Support the CMAL in fostering collaboration, alignment and seamless working across R&D and GCSO functions, including the Compound Development Team (CDT), Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Global Market Access COE to ensure optimal launch readiness for the brand.
  • Take indication specific budgetary responsibility, ensuring that spending is managed effectively throughout the year and to plan.
  • Keep up to date with scientific developments, bringing the latest techniques and analyses to build the strongest possible value proposition.
  • Understand the patient perspective of the disease and recommend strategies that can support the patient voice in key payer negotiations.

Qualifications:

  • At least Master’s degree in appropriate field (Economics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Health Economics, or Public Health) is required, or Advanced degree, such as PharmD with Fellowship.
  • A minimum of 2 or more years in Health Economics and Outcomes Research areas with working knowledge of Global Market Access, is required.
  • A thorough understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization and drug development process.
  • The successful candidate will have superior communication and strong interpersonal skill, demonstrated through working within cross-functional teams.
  • This position is based in Titusville, NJ and may require up to 15% domestic and/or international travel.

Required Skills:

  • Evidence Generation: The ability to apply data science concepts and methodologies to identify and articulate value propositions, create and implement value strategies, generate business insights, and drive evidence generation and debate on the appropriateness of conclusions.
  • Health Technology Assessment: Knowledge of the principles of evidence-based medicine and methodologies to evaluate health-related technology and deliver product dossiers.
  • Market Access Analytics: The ability to systematically gather and analyze information from various sources, including modeling, pricing, and contracting strategies. This includes the ability to generate data to support real-world evidence, identify and communicate patterns and trends and evaluate and develop strategic plans.
  • Market Access Landscape: Working knowledge of payer healthcare systems in key markets.

Preferred:

  • Experience with developing and submission of Reimbursement & Pricing dossiers to key government and private HTA and payer authorities.
