This position will lead Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) projects and ensure quality, timely and budget-defined deliverables to support solid tumor products launch at global level. The scope for this position includes HEOR as well as other types of Real World Evidence (RWE) research (e,g , postmarketing commitments).

This individual will ensure that all endeavors follow peer-accepted methodologically sound studies to meet project objectives and regulatory/payer requirements. Overall, this position will ensure compliant conduct and supervise analyses, evaluation and reporting of studies & develop highest standard HEOR publications.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Ensure timely development of evidence generation plan and provide HEOR inputs to the brand planning and budgeting processes while formulating recommended strategies in support of asset value proposition in collaboration with the cross-functional teams.
  • Represent Beigene at appropriate scientific, medical, regulatory, payer, patient, and other meetings, when collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Execute HEOR/RWE program using best-in-class health economics and epidemiological practices
  • Provide HEOR input on scientific platform and develop HEOR-related scientific publications in a timely manner.
  • Ensure scientific and operational rigor for data generation projects from study design to planning, management, analyses, interpretation of findings and publications
  • Collaborate closely with cross functional colleagues including Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory and Commercial to understand business needs and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and institutions globally
  • Support budget planning and management.
  • Author protocols, reports and other study documents with independent, critical thinking to ensure quality and completeness of output, oversees timeline for deliverables associated with reporting.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of a relevant Master’s degree required (Health Economics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Life Sciences) with a minimum of 7 years of industry or consulting experience required or PharmD, MD or PhD (preferred) with a minimum of 5 years of industry or consulting experience required.
  • Experiences in PMC/PMR study preferred
  • The candidate should have experiences in leading systematic literature review (SLR), Global Value Dossiers (GVD), economic model, indirect comparison analysis in a global setting with demonstrated scientific leadership, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications in econometric methods and/or advanced statistics, as well as a proven track record of successful Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions
  • Extensive experience in project management, pharma/biotech in solid tumors is required. 
  • The candidate should have very strong written and verbal communication skills and be capable of distilling the essential elements of complex issues for senior internal and external stakeholders and scientific and non-scientific audiences alike.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills working within cross-functional teams
  • Experience in screening and managing external vendors.

Other Qualifications:

  • Understand HTA requirements globally and provide product based strategy that supports HTA/Value data needs; ensuring implementation through development & medical plans
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of GVDs that provide the foundation for the creation of local Regional Value Dossiers based on regional HTA needs. 
  • Facilitate the maintenance of a global HEOR repository with a library of tools and instruments that support data generation and HTA needs. Originate materials for field medical/HEOR staff such as AMCP dossiers.
  • Experience with post-marketing “real world” studies and registries; use RWE to support regulatory filing
  • Maintains full compliance with internal and external guidance and regulations, including applicable policies and codes
  • Proven ability to drive results at a high level of quality as a strategic and creative thinker/leader.
  • Demonstrates ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in an ever-changing environment.

Travel: Work related travel approximately 10%

Salary Range: $181,600.00 – $241,600.00 annually
