The associate director reports to a director of MAHP. The associate director works in close collaboration with the other members in MAHP and other departments in Japan as well as global teams.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principal Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyze and assess the implications of healthcare policy\/regulations affecting Alexion\u2019s business and inform them of relevant functions and\/or senior managements in a timely.<\/li>\n<li>Identify policy issues affecting Alexion\u2019s business and develop and implement strategic action plans to overcome them.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain relationships with external policy stakeholders, such as KOLs, patient advocates, academia, policy specialists, and policy makers.<\/li>\n<li>Expand Alexion\u2019s presence in the rare disease space through participation and contribution to industry community activities.<\/li>\n<li>Provide opportunities for employees to receive education on the healthcare system and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Respond and give advice to inquiries from inside and outside the company regarding healthcare systems and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate successfully with key contacts throughout Alexion, including marketing, medical affairs, communications, patient advocacy, R&#038;D, global counterparts, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Passionate and responsible for a given task.<\/li>\n<li>Have leadership experience as a team or project leader.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinking skills.<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility and adaptability to internal and external change.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Japanese required; proficiency in English (preferred).<\/li>\n<li>Scientific and policy knowledge of rare disease space.
