They were recruiting health economists and expressed interest in testing our specialised health economics job board to support their recruitment efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tracking Applications Isn\u2019t Always Enough<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They explained that they carefully track where each application originates and planned to monitor the performance and number of applications from our platform. While this approach is sound, I pointed out that measuring the effectiveness of a job board isn\u2019t always straightforward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Candidates Really Apply<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For instance, when a health economist finds a job on our platform, it\u2019s often during a lunch or coffee break at work and they are using their work laptop or mobile. However, most won\u2019t apply immediately. Instead, they go home, switch to a personal device in the evening or at the weekend, and submit their application directly through the company\u2019s careers page. As a result, the original source\u2014the job board\u2014may not be credited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The First Touchpoint Matters<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, our specialised job board is often the first touchpoint when you are reaching out to job-seeking health economists. Without it, you might miss many excellent candidates.
