Senior Statistician required to join an excellent Health Economics consulting firm headquartered in London which works with international pharma, biotech and Medtech companies to support new drug development.

This is a new position within the company, created due to consistent growth of the business and the Senior Statistician will be joining a well-qualified, experienced team of statisticians, analysts and health economists.

Responsibilities:

Leadership of stats projects for HTA (Health Technology Assessment) will be the primary objective of the position and the successful candidate will focus on; the design and delivery of statistical analysis plans, relevant data analysis and the interpretation / write-up of results.

Projects include:  

  • Regression analyses (Utilising patient-level data from clinical trials / registries)
  • Survival analysis
  • Bayesian network meta-analysis (NMA)

The Senior Statistician will also be given the opportunity to mentor / supervise other Stats team members, collaborate with Health Economics and Outcomes Research colleagues on broader projects and to support project proposal development and client management activities.

Experience required:

  • A postgraduate degree in statistics, mathematics or a similar subject is essential and applicants must have previous experience of delivering statistics / data analysis projects in the HEOR sector.
  • Familiarity with WinBUGS (or similar NMA software) and working with R is also important and experience with SAS and/or Stata would be advantageous.
  • In addition, good writing skills, accuracy and attention to detail and some knowledge of HTA processes are important requirements too.
  • Previous project management and mentorship / supervisory / line management experience would be helpful but is not necessarily essential.
