This is an excellent position for a health economist who has previous experience of developing health economics models (budget impact / cost effectiveness / service impact models) within a consultancy or pharmaceutical company and who is looking to join a company where there will be realistic opportunities to develop their career and take on people and project leadership responsibilities.
Working within a team of 15 people combining a blend of Pharmaceutical industry and NHS experience, the incoming Health Economist will work on a range of model development projects and will also have the opportunity to collaborate on broader Market Access projects including the development of value stories, evidence reviews of new medicines and formulary documents primarily covering the UK market, but with some European level work too.
Previous health economic modelling experience is essential, and applicants should have completed an MSc (or similar) level degree in Health Economics, Biostatistics or another relevant subject. Proficiency with HTML5 or another relevant coding language is desirable and the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate an ability to understand clinical data from clinical trials, have an understanding of clinical study design, statistical analysis (p values, hazard ratios, study power) and hierarchies of evidence.
