The Associate Director Market Access UK & Ireland is a key role in delivering on our mission to make our medicines affordable and accessible for more patients globally. The incumbent will be integral to the delivery of affordable Market Access for BeiGene’s pipeline in the UK & Ireland.
The individual will have to develop strong working relationships with internal Market Access, HEOR, Medical and Commercial colleagues within BeiGene, as well as external clinical and economic experts, patient advocacy groups and HTA agencies.
Under the guidance of the Director, Market Access, the individual will be accountable for conducting all elements of pricing and reimbursement activities for assigned medicines/therapy areas, ranging from landscape mapping, developing evidence-based HTA submissions and providing input into price negotiations to maximise the potential for reimbursement of BeiGene medicines in the UK & Ireland.
Essential Functions of the job:
- Key member of the UK & Ireland Market Access Team
- Manage national market access (pricing and reimbursement) pre-launch activities for pipeline products/indications
- Implement access and value related projects such as landscape assessments, payer market research and payer advisory boards
- Liaise with UK & Ireland Horizon Scanning bodies and HTA agencies on upcoming product appraisals
- Lead development of HTA submissions for new products/indications, working with HEOR and Medical colleagues and managing external specialist agencies
- Manage interactions with HTA agency stakeholders through all stages of the HTA appraisal process from scoping, through submission, clarification questions, technical engagement, Committee Meetings, draft/final recommendations, etc.
- Provide input on commercial access discussions as required
- Input local needs into EU market access, HEOR and pricing strategies for current and future portfolio
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in UK & Ireland market access (Industry or Consultancy)
- An understanding of UK and Irish payer systems, including stakeholders, processes and funding flows
- Direct experience of writing HTA dossiers and managing HTA submissions in UK & Ireland
- Demonstrated experience in economic model adaptation for UK & Ireland submission
- Strong project management skills and demonstrable ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams, including external vendors, to deliver on stated project goals
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including ability to synthesize data and deliver a clear overview of available evidence to support market access activities
- Oncology market experience strongly preferred
- Fluent in English
Travel: Up to 20% of time
