Senior Consultant HEOR and EU HTA

Barcelona, Spain.

This position is a partially office-based position that is open between our offices in Barcelona, Sofia, Paris or London.
 

Ideal starting date: asap, latest from December 2021 to January 2022.

The successful candidate will be embedded within our market access practice and will be exposed to a wide range of projects, challenges, and clients on an international scale. The successful candidate will be focusing on managing and / or directing value communication, evidence review / synthesis, HTA, and primary market access research projects.

The role will include the following responsibilities

  • Design or supervise the design of optimal project solutions to address client needs within HEOR & European HTA processes (EUnetHTA, NICE, HAS, GBA, SMC etc)
  • Organize, supervise and support the project team to ensure high-quality work, as well as efficient and timely completion of the project 
  • Provide strategic advice within the context of the project (within and beyond project scope) 
  • Knowledge and understanding of local HTA process, private and public payer markets, their drug review processes, and reimbursement trends affecting market access
  • Developing technical reports and presentations to disseminate findings.
  • Develop and manage project stakeholder relations and communications (internal and external) 
  • Monitor resources, budget and delivery requirements 
  • Collaborate closely with the business development and delivery management teams, participate in business development meetings

The candidate should possess the following skills/experience

  • Advanced degree in a relevant healthcare/bioscience subject (e.g. MSc/PhD in pharmacy, public health, healthcare management, biopharmaceutical sciences, etc)
  • 5 years+ market access, health economics & outcomes research experience gained primarily in consulting, but also academia or industry
  • The successful candidate will offer specific content-related skills and experience in:
  • Analysis of research findings and translating into meaningful recommendations to clients
  • Familiarity with at least the NICE and HAS submission procedures, including economic evaluation guidelines and budget impact analysis requirements for provincial and federal drug benefit programs in Europe
  • The successful candidate will offer knowledge and deep understanding of:
  • Interactions between different teams within global pharmaceutical and medical device organisations
  • Decision-making processes of key national HTA bodies

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills in addition to the requirements:

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Fluency in English (written & spoken) and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong fluency in Microsoft Office and other commonly used software (Word®, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, EndNote, etc)
  • Ability to demonstrate key Amaris values – trust, independence, performance, commitment, and boldness
  • Well-developed project and time management skills and experience in successfully managing and / or directing complex projects
  • Knowledge of clinical research and basic health economics in order to interpret, critique and summarise evidence
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams (stats/HE/market access/other)
