Senior Consultant, Health Economic Modelling

HEOR Value Hub is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Consultant to join its Health Economic Modelling team. As part of HEOR Value Hub you will create and maximize value for clients throughout the product lifecycle. In return, you will have the opportunity to guide and shape the Health Economic Modelling team at HEOR Value Hub and will have interesting growth opportunities within the company. You will be exposed to a variety of projects in different therapeutic areas and geographic scope supporting the client from early product assessment to technical and strategic support for price & reimbursement submission and post-submission. Assignments will range from evidence synthesis, health-economic modelling, statistical analysis, strategic advice and value communication. 

Location: partially home based at your preferred location (no specific country requirement). The main offices are located in Maastricht (NL) and Hasselt (BE).

Overview of the role:

• Manage all aspects of large and complex global health economics projects in the full breadth of therapeutic areas, ensuring high-quality, on-time and on-budget delivery
• Lead and develop health-economic models and related technical documentation with high-quality standards
• Develop tailored solutions to specific client problems and marshal their implementation
• Provide high quality, timely, scientific/strategic solutions to meet client needs
• Preparing and delivering presentations for clients on model methods, project progress, and results, contributing to pitch presentations.
• Identify and manage training and development needs in junior team members and provide on the job training and support as required
• Drive business development by generating and responding to new business opportunities, and by developing and maintaining close client relationships
• Contribute to leadership of the team through active input on people management & recruitment, business development strategy, and project operations
• Demonstrate and actively promote an open and honest working environment to encourage

Role Requirements:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in health economics or a related quantitative discipline, such as biostatistics or epidemiology.
• 5-7 year experience within a consulting, academic or pharmaceutical/ devices industry environment with high performance and outstanding achievements
• Experience in health economics including the conceptualization and development of cost-effectiveness and budget impact models
• Strong numeracy and quantitative skills
• Strong computing skills (MS Office) including MS Excel
• Experience of programming and software such as VBA, SAS, STATA or R
• Experience in undertaking statistical analyses, such as parametric survival analysis, indirect treatment comparison, matching adjusted indirect comparisons is highly desirable
• Experience in analyzing individual patient level data for use in economic models is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and in writing, especially in the relaying of technical information with a high degree of written accuracy and attention to detail
• Self-motivation, enthusiasm, ambition and flexibility
• Strong leadership skills and substantial experience leading teams, delegating tasks, supervising staff, and developing client relationships
• Strong project management experience and capabilities, coupled with an analytic mind set and excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong personal integrity and teamwork skills
• High level of initiative, self-direction and accountability, eagerness to break new ground and create opportunities for others
• Fluency in English, verbal and written
