What you will do/the position

Reporting to Regional Market Access Lead CEE & SEE we are currently looking for Associate Director Regional Market Access Pharma & Vaccines who will be working closely with country, regional MER, Global Market Access (GMAx), in coordination with Commercial, CORE, Policy and Medical teams.

The Associate Director Regional Market Access Pharma & Vaccines will be working in a matrix organization and be part of the CEE/SEE Market Access Team and MER Market Access team supporting development and implementation of strategies and tactics to achieve, maintain and expand access for our Pharma products and Vaccines across CEE/SEE countries. Within this role, Associate Director Regional Market access Pharma & vaccines will work closely with country teams and other internal and external stakeholders in the ecosystem to optimize access and support execution of vaccination programs.


  • Work directly with selected CEE/SEE countries and support access and pricing strategies for maintaining/improving value of our Pharma products and vaccines.
  • Align Market Access business priorities and deliverables with cluster, region and global and support their execution.
  • Drive strategic projects at country or cluster level in alignment with cross functional team.
  • Staying updated on our Company’s products, challenges and opportunities for access to existing and new products. Suggesting action plans and contribute to effective prioritization and execution at country level.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the policy objectives, health priorities and planned initiatives of governments throughout selected countries.
  • Build and maintain deep understanding of payer landscape across the selected countries.
  • Track global and market developments, including competitors.
  • Ensure interaction with other functions (Commercial, CORE, Medical, Policy) at our Company and be responsive to internal business needs.
  • Counsel markets in Access and pricing strategies, share best practices.
  • Participate in internal global network around relevant market access matters.
  • Serve as Regional Access SME across the regional CFT/RCT for selected TAs as well as functional SME that will drive strategic initiatives across the region as defined by the CFT/RCT.
  • Develop own competencies and skills in accordance with the personal development plan.

We are looking for a person with the following experience and background:

  • Academic degree (BA/BS) in medicine or pharmaceutical science, at least 3-year experience in market access, health economics, pricing, epidemiology in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Evidence of strategic and analytical thought.
  • Local Market Access experience in European market.
  • Experience in Vaccines strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in execution Access or Pricing strategies.
  • Good collaboration and communications skills, able to transform technical/market access or health economic documentation into simple arguments.
  • Project management, good execution skills and ability to build and maintain strong networks.
  • Fluent in English in both written and oral forms.


  • Navigate market access environment, demonstrate ability to identify routes to reimbursement/NIP consistent with global strategy, in rapidly evolving market access landscape and help develop and address any country requirements for HT or tender processes.
  • Interpret information across customers to influence external decision makers with the ultimate goal of understanding and taking better care of patients.
  • Leverage networks and information across access, CORE, Policy, Medical and Commercial organization.
  • Lead with informal and formal authority. Manage through ambiguity.
  • Communicates clearly in matrix organization.
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize and make resource trade-offs across portfolio.
  • Commercial acumen, leadership skills and ability to collaborate across the organization.
