Successful candidates will have excellent technical expertise in the areas of healthcare administration and delivery, facility and physician reimbursement, and health economic value messaging. Candidates will exhibit outstanding leadership and communication skills with the ability to present complex information to a broad and diverse group of key stakeholders and will have the ability to convey the unique capabilities that Boston Scientific has in this market. The role is ideal for candidates who want to lead and deliver both strategy and execution. This is a field-based position with overnight travel estimated up to 75%.

This is a Field Based Position (remote) open to candidates in any United States location. There is a preference for candidates who live near a major airport due to the travel requirements of this role.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the development and implementation of regional health economics and market access (HEMA) activities for the Endobariatrics franchise, collaborating with field sales, internal teams, and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute strategies to advance the adoption and utilization of Endobariatric products and procedures.
  • Implement field-level HEMA initiatives to support program development and patient access to Endobariatric procedures across the U.S.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Clinical, and Health Economics teams to create customer-facing tools, economic models, and reimbursement strategies that drive growth and access.
  • Educate and train the sales team on health economic tools and value-based messaging through in-person and virtual sessions.
  • Establish and standardize best practices for patient access support programs and field-level HEMA activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.); advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in health economics, reimbursement, or market access.
  • Strong understanding of health economics principles and the healthcare reimbursement landscape, with the ability to articulate market access trends.
  • Prior experience managing people and leading teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and interact effectively with C-suite executives.
  • Proven success in navigating complex environments and building strong relationships in a matrixed organization.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and projects.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and experience collaborating across functions (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Clinical).
  • Solid understanding of commercial payer prior authorization and appeals processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in metabolic and bariatric disease sectors.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed strategic and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to model and uphold Boston Scientific’s corporate values.
