The Director of US Health Economics and Outcomes Research & Real-World Evidence (HEOR & RWE) is responsible for identifying real-world and economic evidence needs and developing the real-world and economic evidence generation plans in collaboration with internal business partners to support the value of our products for US healthcare providers, population-health decision makers, and other external stakeholders for the assigned Therapeutic Area.
The Director of US HEOR & RWE will ensure scientific rigor in the design and conduct of US HEOR & RWE studies and the effective communication of results to external audiences, including scientific exchange through publications. The Director of US HEOR & RWE will also partner cross-functionally to ensure that HEOR plans are strategically aligned across the organization including Brand Marketing, Medical Affairs, Value & Access, and Global RWE, and Global HEOR.
Additionally, the Director of US HEOR & RWE will support field team engagements by developing field team resources and by training field teams.
Main responsibilities / job expectations
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Drive effective cross-functional collaboration and lead the development of US HEOR evidence generation strategies in alignment to medical and commercial strategy.
- Provide input into Integrated Evidence Generation Plans to ensure US needs are represented.
- Lead the design, conduct, and publish methodologically rigorous US HEOR & RWE studies and projects, in collaboration with internal and external researchers, to understand the real-world clinical, humanistic, and economic impact of Ipsen products.
- Lead the development of materials, including AMCP dossiers, budget impact models, and value communication resources to support customer engagements.
- Lead the training of customer-facing teams, such as Field US HEOR, Value and Access, and field medical colleagues, on value communication resources to support customer engagements.
- Support meetings with key external customers through participation in meetings or presenting approved value communication resources to customers as needed.
- Provide input into clinical development programs and clinical trial protocols as needed.
- Track budgets and timelines and ensure appropriate processes are followed for internal approval and execution of US HEOR & RWE projects.
- Comply with all regulatory laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Ipsen.
- Stay informed on the latest methodological advances that expand and enhance HEOR & RWE research.
Knowledge, abilities & experience:
Education
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MS, MPH) in Health Services Research, Health Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Pharmacy, or a related field is required.
Experience
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Health Economics and Outcomes Research is required.
- Presenting HEOR studies to external audiences at scientific conferences and/or in a field role.
- Experience leading a cross-functional team or initiative.

- Fluent in English

Ipsen US Pay Range Disclosure Language
The annual base salary range for this position is $177,000 – $236,000 – $259,600.
This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentives program as well as our long-term incentives program.
