As a member of the International Health Economics and Outcomes Research team, your primary responsibility will be to support launch execution, local real world evidence generation and training across disease areas (CF and Heme) in Europe, with a focus on France and Iberia markets.
The role will involve heavy global interaction and will be reporting into the Head of International HEOR. The right candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and vast experience working with cross-functional teams across matrix.
You will be tasked with leading the development of local HE materials to support Vertex’s assets value proposition, and will have a large focus of leading the adaptation of global economic models, HTA dossier development, RWE local study design in full alignment with global research and training local teams in HEOR topics across disease areas.
The right candidate will have extensive HEOR experience and a significant understanding of European Market Access. You will need to have an in depth understanding of international HEOR processes and HTA submissions as well as experience in RWE generation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with country-based colleagues to prepare reimbursement submissions, adapt/develop country-specific economic models and present economic evidence to HTA organizations.
- Work closely with International P&R to adapt the global value story (GVD), reimbursement support materials, payer objection handler, and other evidence-based materials that demonstrate product value in a manner that is meaningful to national and regional payers.
- Support the development of International Market access plans and associated strategies from the HEOR perspective through continued collaboration with International P&R and Regional Market access colleagues
- Support local markets to shape evidence generation plans and execution in order to strengthen value demonstration during reimbursement processes
- Provide training on Health Economics tools underpinning value proposition to local markets
Experience
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with extensive years of HEOR experience.
- In-depth and current understanding of international HEOR/payer environment, including reimbursement decision-making and HTA processes.
- Experience in adapting global economic/budget impact models and other support materials to meet HTA requirements
- Demonstrated experience with product launches
- Demonstrated experience shaping and generating RWE to support value proposition
- An advanced degree in one of the following areas: health economics, public health, biostatistics, medicine, or another analytic field.
- Excellent communication skills, strong oral/written presentation skills.
- Ability to navigate and be successful in a fast-paced environment.

In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as:
1. Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
