The overall purpose and main responsibilities are listed below:

To provide functional and operational directions to internalize HEOR modeling (Cost-effectiveness analysis, budget impact analysis, Global model support, early health economic models, model adaptation, scenario analysis etc.) processes in partnership with Global HEVA team and HEVA Business Partners. 

  • People: (1) Collaborate with HEVA modeling leads to consult with Value and Access and HEVA Business Partners to determine model requirements (2) Collaborate with colleagues from HEVA, medical affairs, and commercial product teams to executive analysis of pre-existing model/scenario to investigate research queries (3) Collaborate with Global HEVA modeling leads to liaise external vendors supporting any modeling work and will be accountable for any development and validation required (4) Interact with pricing, external vendors (5) Lead team of HEVA modelers (Associate to Associate Manager) in health economic model development. Coach and mentor team members.
  • Performance: (1) Provide inputs to the strategic development and use of industry leading predictive and economic models to enhance our understanding of disease and to quantify and communicate the value of our products to patients, providers, and payers (2) The Manager (HEOR modeling) will be responsible for developing health economic models like cost-effectiveness models, budget impact models, run scenario analysis. (3) Ensure timely availability of complex and/or simple clinical, economic models that meet the need of payers by collaborating with internal/external stakeholders (4) Participate in conceptualization of advanced model design (5) Work on methodological aspect of modeling (6) Collaborate with Global HEVA modeling teams on economic platforms workstreams related to allocated projects (7) Get involved in analysing prospectively collected health economic data or inclusion in model (8) Support countries for local HTA submissions (9) Develop and maintain expertise across therapeutic area.
  • Process: (1) Support development of HEOR modeling processes in partnership with HEOR modeling leads/managers (2) Contribute in overall quality enhancement by ensuring high scientific standards for the output produced by team. (3) Ensure all the HE modeling deliverables are delivered as per agreed time and standard.
  • Stakeholder: (1) Maintain effective relationship with the end stakeholders (medical scientific community) with an end objective to develop education and communication content as per requirement; and (2) Partner with HEVA, Real World Evidence, Clinical, Medical Affairs, Marketing, External Affairs, and Market Access global or local teams, and interact effectively with external advisors.

About you

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in doing HEOR analytics which includes conducting data analyses, health economic methodology and modeling for HTA submissions, and developing statistical analysis plan and developing health economic models like CEA, BIM CCA et. 
  • Soft skillsStakeholder management; communication skills; people management; and ability to influence and negotiate
  • Technical skillsAdvanced level training/experience in developing health economic models (CEA, BIM, survival analysis, patient level simulation), hands on experience of working with Excel VBA, familiarity with R, R-shiny 
  • EducationAdvanced degree in health economics, pharma, statistics, Engineering 
  • LanguagesExcellent knowledge of English language (spoken and written)
