Work as a Director Market Access & Reimbursement for Hospital Patient Monitoring (HPM), where you will drive the achievement of market access & reimbursement for HPM Globally. You will be in the front line of engagement with institutions and (local) healthcare system stakeholders (payers, institutions, and government agencies) to disseminate generated evidence and communicate a differentiated value proposition for HPM . This includes relevant fee-for-service reimbursement and VBHC payment models for clinical procedures and interventions, evidence requirements, and policies impacting the delivery of care in key markets. You will work in close collaboration with the Market Access and Reimbursement CoE & international team, HEOR, Government Affairs, Strategy, Marketing, Legal & Product Management as well as lead all relevant Market Access & Reimbursement HPM activities with these groups.
You are responsible for
- Providing input and align with internal & external stakeholders for the development of clinical and economic value propositions for each of the proposed products and solutions in key markets.
- Serving as the market access and reimbursement subject matter expert advising on (local) market access regulations, needs, trends and other market developments in close collaboration with the innovation, business, HEOR and the international Market Access & Reimbursement team.
- Being the main point of contact for market access and reimbursement data, such as (in- and outpatient) reimbursement as well as code(s) and coverage information from available databases across key markets .
- Working with the Business teams creating both strategic (launches) and tactical recommendations to the local teams to adapt to changing market access requirements and ensure successful market access across the key markets (US, EU7, LATAM, APAC & Japan) for HPM .
- When appropriate, collaborating with customers and/or partners, government agencies, healthcare decision makers, academics, and other broad external stakeholder groups.
- Engaging with Market Access and Reimbursement CoE team members (global and local) to leverage knowledge on product value propositions as well as evidence plans in other regions and work with country-based reimbursement specialists as required .
- Being in the front line with institutions (HAS/NICE) and healthcare system stakeholders (e.g., local administrations, payers, decision makers).

A role in the organization, in which you will work closely together with local stakeholders to lead a wide range of innovative health technology projects across the key markets. You are an integral part of the larger Market Access and Reimbursement CoE team within the Chief Medical Office (part of the Innovation & Strategy group). You will report into the Lead of Market Access and Reimbursement Connected Care.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. MBA in the healthcare space is an important asset.
- A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical/biotech, medical devices, healthcare management, consulting, strategic planning or equivalent required.
- Experience in obtaining inpatient- and outpatient reimbursement tariffs as well as cost information from public databases.
- Highly in-depth knowledge in healthcare payment and reimbursement (coverage and coding) systems, market access strategy, value proposition creation and payer decision-making.
- Demonstrated knowledge in reimbursement policies and regulations for key markets such as US, France, Germany & UK], including experience in obtaining inpatient and outpatient reimbursement tariffs and costs information from public databases.
- Ability to stay updated on clinical market developments, such as value-based payment systems.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong and open-minded team player who can work with various nationalities and cultures.
- Proven track record of successfully building external networks and considered a real team player.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal. < Optional: Extra language skills >
- Understanding of organizational behavior, corporate culture and be able to flourish in a complex and rapidly evolving workplace.
- A willingness to travel occasionally.
