As the Market Access Manager for the new vaccine launch, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful market entry and widespread adoption of our latest vaccine. You will be responsible for developing and implementing market access strategies to secure favorable pricing, reimbursement, and access policies for the vaccine in target segments. Your efforts will directly impact the availability and affordability of this critical vaccine, ultimately driving positive health outcomes.

Accountabilities

Market Access Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive market access strategies tailored to different regions and countries to achieve optimal pricing, reimbursement, and timely market entry for the vaccine.

Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR): Collaborate with the HEOR team to generate compelling evidence of the vaccine’s value proposition, cost-effectiveness, and health benefits to support pricing negotiations and reimbursement submissions.

Pricing and Reimbursement: Lead pricing strategy development by analyzing market dynamics, competitor pricing, and local healthcare systems, while ensuring pricing aligns with the vaccine’s value and affordability objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government health authorities, regulatory agencies, payers, and health technology assessment (HTA) bodies, to gain their support and endorsement for the vaccine.

Value Proposition Communication: Effectively communicate the vaccine’s value proposition to various stakeholders, including payers, policymakers, and healthcare providers, highlighting its positive impact on public health and economic benefits.

Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, healthcare policies, and competitive landscape to identify potential opportunities and challenges that could impact the vaccine’s market access.

Launch Readiness: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all market access activities are aligned with the vaccine’s launch timeline, ensuring timely access upon regulatory approval.

Compliance: Ensure all market access activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines, and maintain transparency in all interactions with external stakeholders.

  • Proven experience in market access, pricing, or health economics within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, ideally with a focus on vaccines or other biologics.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, reimbursement mechanisms, and health policy landscape.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing market access strategies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, payers, and key opinion leaders.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in interpreting health economic data and evidence to inform market access decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required.
