Janssen Pharmaceutical K.K. is recruiting for a Health Economics Manager in Tokyo, Japan. The successful candidate will report in Head of Health Economics under the Integrated Market Access Team. The individual is responsible for the development and execution of strategies that ensure optimal access and reimbursement for the Janssen portfolio. Key activities including early input into global clinical trial design, real-world evidence generation, and leading HTA preparation. This is a highly visible and strategically critical role.
Key Responsibilities
· Develops and executes market access strategies and evidence generation plans to meet access /HTA requirements aligned with country objectives.
· Project lead (including day-to-day management) for HTA submissions.
· Maintain strong knowledge of disease areas and products within the portfolio.
· Play a proactive leadership role in providing Japan access consideration into global clinical trial design and global / regional market access strategies.
· Works closely with the cross-functional team as well as with regional and global organizations.
· Anticipates and shapes future dynamics in the external environment impacting market access and reimbursement.
Qualifications
Education:
- Degree educated in a relevant scientific discipline (Life Science, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Economics, or Public Health)
Experiences and Skills:
- Minimum of 5-year market access experience within the pharmaceutical industry or a consultancy.
- A passion for healthcare and the ability to translate scientific information into strategy
- Demonstrated solid expertise in major aspects of market access, especially evidence generation, health economics, and HTA requirement.
- Demonstrated learning agility and analytical acumen.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English and Japanese
