Bangkok, Thailand.
This position directly reports to the Director of Market Access & Public Affairs (MAPA). In this role, you will guide and oversee the development and implementation of market access strategies at both the national and hospital levels. The main scope of accountabilities includes but is not limited to:
- Develop and implement comprehensive market access strategies that align with the company’s business objectives. Provide calculated counsel to related parties on market access issues and opportunities. Oversee both national and field market access activities to ensure cohesive and effective execution.
- Conduct national efforts to secure product listing, reimbursement, and pricing agreements with health insurers, government health agencies, and other payers. Develop and implement field market access strategies to enhance local product uptake. Manage and help a team of field market access managers to engage with local healthcare providers, regional payers, and local health authorities.
- Coach, monitor and develop a team of mid- to senior-level managers fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, and government officials.
- Study market access data and trends to inform strategy development, prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership, and utilize data-driven approaches to optimize strategies and improve outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in pharmacy, health economics or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in market access roles in pharmaceutical industry in Thailand, and with strong team management experience (people management).
- Expertise in health economics, pricing strategies, and payer engagement. Established good track record of securing product listings, reimbursement, and favourable pricing agreements.
- Thai proficiency is required with good communication in English both written and spoken.
