Created due to consistent year-on-year growth, the Principal Medical Writer position is a new role within a well-established, independent Consultancy company (>7 years) based in the UK which delivers a wide range of value communication, health economics, HTA (health technology assessment) and systematic review projects to their loyal international client base.

The Writing team includes 7 people who work on a range of interesting projects covering several disease/treatment areas. Specific projects include: HTA submission dossiers, value communication materials (including GVDs, value stories and payer materials.) The Principal Writer will lead projects and people, providing mentoring, valuable critiques and training to the team to ensure continuous development and high standards of work. Client interaction is also a key part of the role and the Principal will usually be the main client contact for projects.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD or Masters degree in a life sciences subject and proven scientific writing skills. Consultancy/Agency experience is not essential but would be advantageous. In addition, leadership skills and project management experience are also important although formal line management experience is not a prerequisite.
