We currently have an opportunity for a field-based, customer-facing, cross-therapy Regional Market Access (RMAx) Manager role with a primary focus on ensuring & broadening access for current & future Gilead medicines in addition to optimising funding for service delivery at regional and hospital trust level across East London and the East of England NHS region.

This role will sit within the UK & Ireland Market Access Function and will report to one of the Regional Market Access Field Team Leaders.

Regional Market Access Managers are expected to work across the therapeutic areas of HIV, Hepatitis C, Hepatitis D, Cell Therapy & Oncology.

Specifically, this role will involve:

  • Leading & implementing the cross-portfolio Gilead market access strategy for the territory
  • Developing strong collaborative working relationships with relevant regional NHSE, ICS (Integrated Care Systems) & Local Authority stakeholders to enable implementation of Gilead access strategies.
  • Accountability for the timely inclusion of Gilead medicines onto local & regional formularies.
  • Identification of opportunities to optimise funding for service elements (eg patient pathways) primarily across Hepatitis C, HIV & Cell Therapy.
  • Scoping opportunities for Gilead within the changing NHS environment, specifically ICS organisations, and bringing recommendations into the brand and market access teams.
  • Identifying key ICS and Cancer Alliance decision makers with whom Gilead should be interacting.
  • Articulating and refining brand value propositions through use of approved Gilead payer tools and messaging.
  • Close proactive collaboration with Gilead cross functional xKAM teams to ensure alignment between national and regional/local plans.

Utilising a blend of face to face and virtual interactions, the candidate will be responsible for developing and sustaining highly effective, collaborative and compliant working relationships with the following external stakeholders:

  • Regional and Area NHS England Specialised Commissioning teams.
  • Integrated Care Board (ICB) members, Cancer Alliance members & other relevant decision makers.
  • Provider Trust Level Budget Holders & HCPs.
  • Regional & Trust level specialist & procurement Pharmacists.
  • Regional CRG members.
  • Regional and local Public Health Commissioners (Directors of Public Health, UKSHA, OHID etc.).
  • Local Authority Commissioners & Sexual Health Facilitators.

Experience & Capability Requirements:

  • Market Access experience including Specialised Commissioning Payer experience with proven success in role desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of developing strong & successful collaborative partnerships with NHS stakeholders.
  • Experience of working within the Blood Borne Virus & Cell Therapy/Oncology therapeutic areas.
  • Experience in the development & delivery of joint working projects desirable but not essential.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Proven sales excellence.
