The Role:
Reporting to the Head of HTA, as the HTA Team Lead you will have both operational responsibility for leading the development of HTA-submissions/dossiers and health economic analyses to inform commercial and access strategy and tactics for our innovative pharmaceutical products and lead a team of HTA Managers.
As a HTA Team Lead, your leadership is key in setting clear objectives and supporting team development. You efficiently organize and assign tasks for timely completion, while guiding the team through challenges with decisive action. By inspiring and encouraging innovative solutions, you empower the team to overcome obstacles and achieve success.
The operational part of the role is to ensure the successful development of reimbursement dossiers across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland for assigned products/indications. To do so, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and draw on the expertise of local Market Access teams to provide the best HTA outcomes for subsequent negotiations and market access.
What you will do
Team leadership
- Providing leadership, direction, and support to team members including objective setting and development discussions
- Guiding the team in addressing challenges, making sound decisions, and encouraging innovative thinking to overcome obstacles
HTA operational responsibilities:
- Lead the development of HTA submissions/dossiers for new products and indications
- Conduct health economic analyses and develop payer evidence that meet the needs of Nordic HTA agencies and demonstrate the health economic value of AZ assets.
- Conduct health economic analyzes to inform strategy and tactics
- Stay current with HTA guidelines and requirements in relevant markets and ensure submissions are aligned with these
- Provide HTA expertise and guidance to internal teams
- Collaborate with global and local teams to ensure alignment on HTA submission strategies
- Participate in projects to shape HTA/Access environment
- Demonstrate AZ values, ethics, and compliance within all business practices, in alignment with the AZ Governance Framework, internal standards and policies, and external regulations

Essential experience:
- Health Economics/Economics/Statistics MSc Degree
- 5-7 years of Health Technology Assessment or economic evaluations within the healthcare industry experience from the Nordics or similar markets
- Experience with submissions across all Nordic markets
- Formal or informal experience from team management, and proven curiosity about develop leadership skills
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and processes related to health technology assessment and market access
- Proficiency in health economics, health outcomes research, and familiarity with HTA methodologies and guidelines
- Strategic application of health economic science to HTA dossiers
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret and evaluate complex healthcare data and evidence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendations to various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English and fluent in at least one Nordic language speech and writing
