Market Access Manager

Basic Functions & Responsibility:

Actively involved in the development of pricing and reimbursement strategies for our products with Oncology as a priority area in order to achieve and maintain reimbursement conditions favorable for the patients. Provide scientific expertise and effectively project the economic modeling for building value proposition and Reimbursement application. Ensure successful fulfillment of Health Outcomes Research agenda to deliver better patient outcomes valued by Payers and Providers. Develop and maintain excellent customer‐centric approach/relationship towards the members of the price and reimbursement commissions and business partners on all 3 markets. Works in close partnership with External Affairs Lead, Pricing & Tendering Specialist, Policy Manager, Public Affairs Manager, Sales and Marketing department, Customer Services, Medical and Regulatory teams, Alliance Manager and Legal Counsel.

Key Result Areas & Tasks (duties, responsibilities, activities):

Price and reimbursement Analysis of the company’s portfolio

  • Through analysis of the therapeutic value of our innovative drugs vs. their expected impact on the health insurance budget, propose price and reimbursement modalities that will allow fair pricing and favorable reimbursement conditions for the patients who need them on all 4 markets.
  • Through long term analysis of the market, build price and reimbursement strategies that will ensure competitive positioning of drugs vs. Comparators, throughout their whole lifecycle.
  • Externally leverages and positions existing tools such as Outcomes Research, Pharmacoeconomic and other tools and identifies opportunities and needs for additional tools.
  • Collaborate closely with local and international colleagues from External Affairs, CORE, Regulatory, Marketing, Medical and Market Research, to ensure alignment on market access strategies, coordinate local actions and ensure the collection and analysis of useful observational or market research data. Keeps in line with local and corporate guidelines for the pricing and reimbursement strategies.
  • In close cooperation w/ External Affairs Lead coordinates internal pricing and reimbursement processes and the collection of all required information from marketing, medical, outcomes research and regulatory needed for appropriate reimbursement submission of products in timely manner.
  • Benchmark, share best practices and interacts efficiently with colleagues from other countries, the region or headquarters.

Pricing/Reimbursement Filing and Negotiation

  • Partners with Pricing & Tendering Specialist, External Affairs Lead and Managing Director and close co‐operation with regulatory, marketing, medical and Alliance management to plan for and negotiate product pricing and reimbursement status. Ensures the most beneficial pricing and reimbursement status of products according with the local regulations.
  • Develops and submits required pricing documents and dossiers/documents to support reimbursement. Participates actively in reimbursement negotiations/discussions with Sick funds in all countries.
  • Ensures the health outcomes programs / processes of reimbursement files. Effectively communicates the Health Outcomes information to Business Partners, Scientific Community and Customers. Develop and/or adapt a Communication strategy (health economics and outcomes research messages) that ensures that company’s message reaches the appropriate audience.
  • Reports on regular basis the pricing and reimbursement situation to the internal and regional stake holders.

Interactions with price and reimbursement customers

  • In close collaboration with Medical and Marketing, seek advice and support from Key Scientific Leaders
  • Seek support from key decision‐makers and members of the Drugs Reimbursement Commission to obtain positive advice and secure optimal reimbursement conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with the External Affairs Lead to shape public policies on access. Identify risks and opportunities, define priorities. Create a strategic dialogue on health price & reimbursement system.
  • Ensure an excellent customer‐centric approach/relationship towards the members of the price and reimbursement commissions, health authorities, payers and key decision makers.

Skills and capabilities required:

  • Education: BA or MSC degree
  • Experience in Market Access and Oncology field
  • Proficient Serbian and English, both written and spoken
