Manager, Market Access

Bangkok, Thailand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders at hospitals engaged in procedures, including OR and cath lab staff, billing, administration and physicians (interventionists and surgeons), to support the site in establishing and maintaining programs through the development and implementation of reimbursement plans unique to each provider.
• Build a strategic relationship and serve as a supporting role to our aligned business partners including sales, marketing, government affairs, regulatory, medical/clinical affairs and patient engagement.
• Assist the Territory Sales Managers in the development, implementation, and managements of strategic initiatives within geography.
• Collaborate and work closely with market access peers and experts across Asia Pacific.
• Partner with the Thailand business development, and marketing, sales functions to drive market access initiatives.
• Conduct payer and KOL advisory boards as appropriate.
• Ensure value messages are consistently developed and delivered, and customer and patient/consumer feedback on value proposition is communicated to internal leadership. This will necessitate a competence in developing, synthesizing, and presenting health economic and patient preference analytics.
• Work closely with KOLs, Medical Societies, MOH, Industry Association, (THAIMED), HITAP, Academia and external advisors.
• Ability to articulate a thorough understanding of the commercial and government payor landscape including coverage policies and payment processes. This will include managing and addressing coverage policy issues with payors as necessary.
• Represent the company in interactions with patient and consumer advocacy organizations to ensure the patient perspective is incorporated in our therapy’s value proposition.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in in a life science, health economics, health policy, or related field , minimum 8 years years experience of experience. E.g., Experience in health policy, health economics, medical device reimbursement and technology assessment in Thailand Required or
• Master’s Degree or equivalent in in a life science, health economics, health policy, or related field , minimum 5 years years experience of work experience in a field-based reimbursement role within the healthcare industry in Thailand Preferred.

Additional Skills:

• Strong understanding of the commercial insurance landscape and relevant reimbursement processes.
• Fluency in reading, writing and speaking Thai and English preferred.
• Understanding of medical and clinical research methods and publication interpretation with ability to use evidence to support value proposition.
• Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and experience working with various internal business partners (especially Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, and Government Affairs staff) to provide insight into key economic and reimbursement issues.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with hospital and physician customers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, especially presentation development and delivery.
• A team player, self-motivated, result oriented, problem solver with strong ownership and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, able to work in a matrix environment and to work with governmental officials.
• Recognized as an expert in government policies with specialized depth within the organization.
• Expert understanding of related aspects of pricing & reimbursement processes.
• Strict attention to detail.
• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.
